With more than 38 years of experience in the financial services industry, Vernon uses a wealth of knowledge and skills to help clients achieve their retirement goals, mainly by identifying dependable income streams to address current and future financial needs.

A longtime resident of East Texas, Vernon started his own firm, Pathways Financial Solutions, in 2016 to help clients gain financial education and confidence. From his office in Tyler, Texas, Vernon and his team of professionals serve clients in Northeast Texas, North Louisiana and Arkansas.

Vernon is licensed in both the insurance and securities industries, which allows him to create to create holistic retirement plans for his clients. He is also recognized as both a Life and Annuity Certified Professional and a National Social Security Advisor by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. He has an Associate of Business Administration degree from Kilgore College and also attended The University of Texas, where he majored in Accounting and Business Management.

Away from the office, Vernon enjoys family time and the life outdoors — including hunting trips and a recent return to golf. He’s an avid fan of classic American cars, citing the 1958 Corvette as his current favorite. He is a former member of the Army National Guard and also spent time in the oil fields of Texas as a roughneck. Most recently, his community focus has been on the revitalization of a local church and, with his wife, the creation of a local scholarship for high school students.
